I wave at any modded xj, or any xj that waves at me.

Its not that we xj guys don't do it, its that when people in general think of jeep they think of the wranglers, not Cherokees....so the Cherokee wave is relatively unknown by some.

Around here where I live, majority of xj owners are retired folks (no offense to any older members here) living in mobile home parks so, again the xj wave doesn't mean anything to them.

The others I see here are punk kids who where their hats sideways and sag their pants below their butts.

Few actually wave...its sad. though I do get waves from wranglers too.

I feel you with the wrangler owners, like there jeep is any better then mine when i wave, but we are all jeepers here and everyone deserves a wave! Wave it up!

Talking

I have a '90 XJ without much done to it, an 89 YJ with a 2" lift, winch and a whole bunch of other *****, and a 2005 Liberty Renegade 4X (wife's), and have quit waving.

People act like you're flippin' them off, or think there's something wrong with their "CAR"!

Wow what an original idea. I wonder why no one has ever thought of this.

I wave to any modified XJ. I wave to modified wranglers too as long as the aren't on flashy 35s with a bunch of texting girls in them.

I drive a lifted ZJ and wave to every jeep I see out on the road(or off) and hardly ever get any waves back. The few I do get are from owners of lifted XJs or other ZJ owners rarely is it a Wrangler

I usually wave. Whether its a CJ, a YJ, TJ, XJ, MJ, or any old fullsize Jeep. I don't wave to many JKs, only the guys I actually know that are driving them.

Usually these threads are about "The Jeep Wave".

Anyway, only 2 XJs have waved at me. 1 was leaving the junkyard as I was pulling in. The other one was in town, it was lifted and had the 21 slot grill. That one might have been a Wagoneer, but I haven't seen it again, still a XJ though. 1 ZJ waved at me and that caught me off guard. 1 YJ waved but it's a buddy's dad so that kinda counts. If I lived near my parents, they would wave in their TJ.
