As folks have already mentioned, the Cherokee version of the cyclone is the 5.9 ZJ.

It's already awd, it's got a potent V8, and from owning a later model 5.2 I can tell you they're no slouch. Doing a lowered XJ isn't all that rare anymore, plenty of folks have used them in AutoX and I believe a Lemons team has been successful with with a 4 door.

Thanks for the info, I think I am keeping the suspension as it came from factory......I am concentrating on the standalone ECU..........out of topic but I was wondering what are the gear ratios of this 4 speed auto trans AW made in Japan my Jeep has.....because a neighbor suggested to install a GM 700 R4 after I finish the Standalone ECU.....I do not know if it is true but he said it will hold more horsepower than the factory Cherokee Tranny....

The GM tranny might be able to hold more power in theory but the AW4 is plenty capable of handling serious hp and trq. Just look it up, folks who have built them have more experience than I do.

Good to know, my goal was to have all the Cherokee parts as possible just a Turbo and the ECU.........I just finished removing the Fan Clutch and installed a 2 Speed Ford Taurus electric Fan with adjustable thermostat, I still have the factory auxiliary fan functional
