'99 Cherokee Sport #2; had the same issue on #1 - is the Cherokee's defroster just naturally wimpy or is there something I should have checked? When I move the selector from one setting to another (say, lower/feet to windshield/defroster), it sometimes doesn't make the transition, or FINALLY decides to switch whatever flaps in there that need moving -- and then the defroster is pretty weak and doesn't keep the window cleared; I finally created a deflector grid that I put on top of the defrost grill on top of the dash, so that helps some ... but when it's rainy out and the windshield tends to steam up, it's good luck charlie about getting things cleared up. Any thoughts, suggestions? Thanks!
