An exo with no internal tie ins will crunch like a coke can unless you use unbelievebly thick tube

looks arent everything man, if that were the case do it out of exhaust tube.

But what happens if this rolls and the sub par work pins you in? Not fun.

that bracing is what will hold the cage together during a roll.

do some real research.
I'm not an engineer. But I really don't think an entire internal cage is necessary. I could see the need for something, tho.

a full internal cage is not really needed for a mild rig with an exo.

but some sort of crossbracing is needed to actually make the cage safe during an actual roll.

i could probably build a small demonstration out of rod to help explain if needed.

Then I'd add a few tubes outside to maybe support the roof/engine area as well.

Thoughts?
Would this be a good option for an internal cage?

My question... Why is this in jeep builds? Should be in advanced chat.

Alright. Real word test here.

First thing first I gotta get my hip waders on cause ish is deep up in here.

Second this is not a joke. This will explain why a few cross braces are good but a full interior cage is not needed.

Ok acquire a few bird cages. No this ain't no joke. I am for real here
Ok now take all the perches and crap out just so it's a bare cage. Now smash it too the ground! See how tweaked to hell it is?!?! Picture your jeep inside
Now take the second cage. Run some wood dowel in a few locations ie a few top to bottom and a few side to side.
Now smash that sob! Didn't change much shape right?
Bam real world test.
Now on a true speak note
Why the hell would you build a "cage" for looks on the cheap? Ok so you roll in a mud pit down in flo-rida due to a pitman arm welded to your d60 snapping off. (Certain people will get that) Your stuck on yer top cant see crap cause a window somewhere has popped.
Now you try to kick the door open cause you felt your way to the handle but the "Exo" that you got pieces for at the dollar tree has shifted back causing the A pillar tube to block the door from opening and you and Cletus in the passenger seat drown in that down south sticky icky.

I'm doing my Exo this winter. I got myself 200 feet of tube. I carry my 3 year old son in my jeep. He WILL be safe if a train hits me.
Now to wait for the flame war towards me!!!!! Bwahahaha!

that explanation works too. I was just going to build a braced and unbraced box and hit it with a hammer. lol

there is no bracing on the outside that will have the same effect of a diagonal brace in the interior.

I built "tube doors" out of some PVC for looks. I got side swiped and the two passenger side "doors" exploded. Scared the living sh** out of me. If you're going to build something build it right. FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION.
