at 141k I doubt it needs rings, I would be looking for head cracks. Is the oil on the dipstick milky too? Best time to look is right after running, while the oil/water is still "mixed". 0331 cracks usually occur between the 3/4 cylinders.
Still a nice jeep, and even with the work required youll do better than buying one in good condition.
