Default Check out the XJ essay I did

I know its not 100% accurate but hey its for an old english teacher

Did you know the Jeep Cherokee XJ was and still is one of the best S.U.V. ever made? It was produced from 1984 to 2001 and it ceased production when a new executive from Germany came over to Chrysler. The model was applauded for its innovative appearance, design and off-road capabilities in extreme conditions. To this day there are loads of XJ’s roaming our streets in a wide range of conditions, from stock to monster trucks. It is one of the best reliable S.U.V.’s made by Jeep because of its great off-road capabilities, comfort and reliability, a great engine and the vast amounts of customization you can do.

The off-road capabilities of this S.U.V. are nothing less what you can expect from Jeep. It features a great 4x4 system including different settings like 4hi and 4lo. Has a unibody design meaning it’s safer because if you roll over most of the XJ will remain intact. The axles it features have great power meaning you can go over the deepest puddles or the highest hill with no problems. If you find yourself in need of assistance don’t be afraid to call someone with an XJ even if it is 2WD, he could still get you out of trouble.

On the matter of comfort and reliability you can expect, that if properly taken care of will never die and probably last more than you will. It features a great sport interior with the option to have leather seats, which is premium, but most people prefer the cheaper selection because they want to get dirty. The reliability of the engine and transmission is great and can last you easily 300,000 miles, then you just rebuild it and it’s ready for some more action. One comfort you won’t have is great MPG because it usually averages around 15 city and 18 highway, if you have it in stock form. Overall it has great reliability in the important parts and comfort in the parts that you want it, like the interior.

The XJ features an awesome 4.0 Liter inline 6 engine which will last a lot of time. It can produce approximately 190hp which gives you a lot of power for towing, climbing or just about anything you can think of. Some have been modified to have turbo so it can run even better than the original. On the downside it will consume a lot of gas, and I mean a lot, but hey it’s a Jeep right? They can also be modified with more efficient spark plugs, air intake, better fluids, etc… to have a better driving experience and better gas mileage. The 4.0 engine is magnificent and it’s to bad they stopped using it in newer Jeep models.

The best thing about this model is the great amount of aftermarket parts you can find. You can install lift kits and tires, which give you more height and ground clearance so you can more serious off-roading. Sound systems are cheap and can make your XJ sound great, you can put subwoofers in the back and thanks to the large space you will hardly notice it there. On the roof you can fabricate a rack to hold supplies or your tire and install some lights for extra visibility on those dark or foggy days. The XJ is so good to this day there are a lot of companies making aftermarket parts and upgrades for off-road lovers.

In general the XJ is one of the best SUV made by Jeep. It was so revolutionary that other automakers took ideas for their own future SUV’s. I personally have one and wouldn’t trade it unless it was something like a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, because I plan to keep it forever. No one would have known that this model would be the one that sold millions of units. The great thing about this is that if you own one you won’t change it because, it’s a Jeep thing and you wouldn’t understand.

Na, if the teacher drove a wrangler he would thrown it away and said he never turned one in... Because the teacher knew it's true.

On the matter of comfort and reliability you can expect, that if properly taken care of will never die and probably last more than you will.

this sentence needs help. re read it and youll see why lol.

other then that neat essay, gotta be nice to have a topic you can write about your jeep for.

Yea, this was a rough draft, I later made small changes before handing it in and I was able to write about XJ's cause it was a free topic :P
