it has a license plate bracket over the fairlead. it just flips up when you need to use the winch.

you crawl up to this rock face right? keep sliding down sliding sown, time to pull cable! so you flip up your liscence plate cover and you start to run line up the face when you notice the angle is too great and your plates right in the way. lol as im typing i just realized it probably flips all the way back, for some reason i had stuck in my head it would flip up and be like the brim of a hat
