Default Cheap Shocks, Which are Best Bang for the Buck?

Alright well Ive done alittle searching on the forum and I cant seem to find a thread for cheap stock ride height shocks, only ones for a 4 inch lift or bigger and I dont plan on lifting my 98 any time soon. So for christmas im going to take the money I get and fix it and the shocks are pretty much rusted through junk so I want to know what would be a good cheap replacement, I was thinking about these: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...CAMS_892032688___

Do you guys have any other suggestions? Id like something somewhat cheap but at the same time wont make me need a cane to walk after I get out.

The monroe shocks you listed would be a good choice. Is your jeep at stock ride height or is lifted?

Sorry I didnt clearify, its at stock ride height and I dont plan on lifting it any time soon, I was looking at them because they were cheap and seemed like a good choice because ive never herd anything to bad about monroe.

Monroe's are a perfectly good brand of shocks. I have some, not quite the same as those(mine were about 10$ more, I can't remember which specific one it was) But they have been more than adequate.

You probably had the sensa track or something similar to that. If its pretty good then ill be picking these up when christmas comes around, besides I think the yellow looks pretty good anyway.

Dont buy cheap china dollar store shocks, they will go bang for a buck.
I recommend Monro. My customer and they make good shocks here on this continent.
I run sensi trac up front and sensi trac with load assist out back (factory coil over for extra 400 lb carry capacity) helps carry the full size spare, jack, shovel, axe, tools, etc, etc. Google em. I ran 110000 km on the last set, one rear pooched, changed all.

Id like to get those but there $110.99 for just two...I can buy the four base monroes for the same price, id definetly like to have them though. They are definetly good from what ive herd as well.

I've got some Gabriel Ultra's on my jeep now. They're good for up to 3" of lift but I wouldn't take it there. I bought them when my jeep was at stock height for $33 a piece at Autozone, and now I'm up 2". Good ride IMO.

JK Rubicon Shocks are great. I'm getting ready to post up a new pair as I never got to use this set.
