Do it. I have a cb in my jeep and it sure makes it nice to be able to communicate with other jeeps on the trail.

if you wheel with groups a CB is awesome, out on the trails you can't rely on cell phones

in my old jeep,i used to have one it was great on trail.much faster than a cell. my wife and i use handheld radios when we travel, especially in two cars.works great doesnt eat up cell min. be sure to put a tallenough antenna or mount it high enough or you will not get much reach out of it.

48" plus the spring. so far I've had conversations about 5 miles from my truck, so for wheeling there's no worry about the range.

got it at radio shack, it was $66.00 for the ball mount, spring and antenna. I already had the coax and radio.

Every trail vehclile should have a CB.. IMO

In fact one local prominent club to me requires you have one for any trail rides with them

CB for sure!!! You can get the whole set-up at your local truck stop. I use a Cobra 19 DX with a Wilson Lil Wil magnet antenna. Works great! I had the same set up in my truck but had a 250 watt linear amp and and jumper wire in the box to run the full 30 amps from the radio also and the farthest i ever talked was eastern New Mexico... and i live in Nashville!!!

I would do it. I'm prob gonna do one in mine soon. Very handy never no when you might need. Living in Maine its good to have when you go on the log roads for safety especially when there is no cell reception. Its better than yellin out the window!
