Default carpet help lol

Alrighty guys so on my last outing i managed to get stuck in a mudhole up to my mirrors.. in the process of climbing out the window to hook up the winch my jeep slowly filled up with 8 inches of water on the inside and now it smells like Sweaty feet constantly lol... ima have to take it out is it a good idea or bad idea? or what should i do afteri take it out?. i already dont have headliner lol.. ill have metal roof and floor

Leave the carpet out and install drain plugs the carpet holds moisture and aids the floor in rusting

Take it out, at least to let it dry and/or wash it.

If you're going to leave it out, I'd probably bedliner the floor.

Rip it out tear off insulation from carpet. Clean and then put back. The insulation will what rots the floor and give you the bad smell.

I run my xj with no carpet, it's fine but the floor gets real hot from the trans and exhaust. the down fall is it's super loud....on the highway I can turn the radio all the way up and not really hear it.

If you plan on going swimming more with your xj you should just bedliner the floor. No carpet
