I want to purchase a winch after i add my lift, but i'll only get a winch if i dont have to get a new bumper. I didnt know if all winches have to be mounted to a stronger bumber or if i dont have to. I'm trying to learn as i go, i dont know hardly anything about jeeps but im trying my best.

 

Go to detoursusa.com and talk to Mark. He makes a winch mount that keeps the stock front bumper.

 

The Detours Backbone is your best, and likely only, prefab option.

Under no circumstances should you mount a winch to your factory bumper!!

 

Front mount hitch / winch receiver mount is another option.

 

I don't mean to thread jack here...

Does anyone know where I can find tow hooks for the factory bumper? The ones that bolt in through the end caps. I've been looking around and don't quite know why they seem to be so expensive.
