Thnrough wheels and deals, I could get a Chrysler 8.25 with a LSD... for free. Sounds like an awesome deal...
I already have a C8.25... and I have the 29 spline, where as the above mentioned, has only 27 splines.
Would it be worth getting?
I will only be putting on 31's right now... moderate wheeling, and some towing, also my dd.
Thoughts?

Depends, if you can get the 8.25 with LSD for less than the price of getting a locker for your 8.25 with the 29 spline axles, then I would get it. It's been my experience that you can get a LockRite or Aussie Locker for the 29 spline 8.25. I know Aussies run around $250. the LockRite is a little more. it also depends on whether you would be happy with a rear LSD or if you want a full on locker.

I think I'd prefer to just put a lunchbox in your 29 spline and call it a day. limited slips still aren't lockers.

I like the way my Aussies work just fine in the snow and ice. All it takes to be perfectly safe is a little common sense attached to the skinny pedal.

Never swap out a stronger axle for a weaker axle. The locker will take a little time to get use to, but it will do so much better.
I've been wheeling for over 35 years and I will not have a wheeling rig without lockers. I do have a LSD in my pickup ( tow rig ) because I bought it off the lot, and got the LSD for free, but someday I'll stick a Detroit in it because the LSD sucks.
