Default bye bye zj

I just watched the zj driving away and I have to admit, I'm a little depressed.
Maybe it was growing on me and I'm going to miss it
Maybe its because I took a loss financially on it, I took the only cash offer I got. 900.
If you count the price I paid for it, and the tax and title fees, I had 950 into it
I don't mind the labor I put into it, it was good experience
Maybe its because I don't have a jeep!!!!!!!!
Lol, well, gotta go hit craigslist and look for a beater xj

Shop smart this time before you buy. Don't jump on the first thing that pops up.

If at all possible try to keep around 100k miles, any XJ with that low a miles will last you forever. Even look at salvage actions, thats where i got mine, sometimes its only a bumper or a fender that is messed up.

So,I didn't take the first offer, lol
Posted an ad saying I just got rid of my grand cherokee and wanted just a "regular" cherokee
Said that I had 900 dollars
Got an email from a guy trying to sell me a 93 grand cherokee
Didn't take the second either, guy wanted 1100 for his 90
First I don't have 1100, second you can't use the ignition switch, they pull fuses under the hood to shut it off, the rocker panels are rusted off of it, and it has 327,000 miles on it
Not to mention its an hour away, in storage without plates, in other words no test drive
I know I can't find much around here for 900 but I'm sure I can find something better than that one

Found one you may be interested in:

http://fortwayne.craigslist.org/cto/1661864837.html

Problem is, most people know the value of a Jeep, and that they run FOREVER. So to find one around $900 with 100k on it is about as difficult as robbing the white house.

200k will run forever also don't get too discouraged, besides, if you can kill the engine you have an excuse for a 350 small block swap!

Found this too, but its the low output (if you get my meaning)

http://muncie.craigslist.org/cto/1675058568.html

I don't know anything about the area you're in so I apologize if these are way out of your way.

Try fighting the price out with them ^

Well GL I'll keep an eye out!

Thanks johhny, muncie is out there a ways but fort wayne is only about an hour
Unfortunately the first one is already gone
And even more unfortunately I have no way of coming up with any more money for at least a couple weeks
And even then I will only be able to add about a hundred a month

Oh my god, a local dealer has an 89 with about 250k on it, kinda beat up so I figured it would probably be reasonable
I asked how much, they said 3000
Lmao
There's another dealer thatt has a 90 in REALLY nice shape for 1400
I've been going through the house and garage desperately trying to find things to put on craigslist lol

Go visit the dealer... with cash in hand. You might be surprised that they would be willing to work with you.

I called the dealer with the 1400 dollar one, I've dealt with him in the past. Figured id ask if I could put 900 down on it and get him to hold it for me.
He said no, but if I give him 500 I can take it then and make payments!
I'm going to go test drive it tommorow. I looked at it Sunday when the place was closed, red 90 laredo with grey interior, automatic, power windows, full size spare
Body was pretty decent, interior was nice. Drivers seat leaned to the left quite a bit, about 200k
Ill see what happens tomorrow
