built. i bought mine stock and have been doing some smaller mods to it with the help of my dad. i plan to piece together a lift with the best quality parts so i know that i have a good lift and that it was put on correctly. i would never buy a built rig unless i knew who built it and knew they used good parts and i trusted that they did a good job putting it on

 

Bought mine not even stock, had 195 tyres on it,had the work done myself.that way I know what I'm driving.

 

bought mine with a lift on it and will never happen again bc i have rebuilt it and about 12,000 later it is better than ever. i will buy the rest of mine bone stock that the granny down the street had since 97 lol. i actually put my first full lift on a buddys xj this weekend and it was great time i love doing that so i will never buy mine built again. also i found this forum to learn about this xj i have and now i am xj crazy.

 

Definitely built, for many reasons too. Its cheaper, better quality in my eyes, but the bottom line is building your own just way too damn fun to let anyone else do it for you. To me, there is no better feeling than getting a project finished, stepping back, and having the ability to say to yourself "I Built That"

"Built" mine. Got it stock with 23,000 on it. I do not have the trust in myself to make my own parts (bumper/long arms etc) so i buy those. I have worked on buddies jeeps they bought already built/beat and it is a giant PITA. I figure If I build it then when something goes wrong, I know how to fix it.
