build'in an xj
to get things started i own a 97 jeep cherokee sport that i drive every day but im wanting to build another 1 just for riding im gonna state my plans and see what you all think any advise or suggestions are very much so welcomed. first off im wanting to run a danna 44 rear and a 35 front, with chrome moly axles, some kind of 8'' long arm lift, lock the rear with a spoil or locker and run an ox slectable locker for front. i plan on running a 4:56 gear, with 34x9.50 super swamper narrows, with maby 1'' wheel spacer. as far as my engine its inline 6 bored 30 over, bigger throttle body, and computer programmer. by the way the jeep is an 87 modle 2 door 5 speed. but thats my basic build theres still the winch and bumpers but right now i wanna make it go good. so tell me what you all thing if you could please thanks

5" lift is better. ditch the wheel spacers and get some proper wheels. 35 is a rear axle you must be referring to D30. get wider tires. 8.8 > 44. and the computer programmer is a waste of money.
unless you're into driving through mud puddles... then skinny swampers and 8" is perfect

very little rock, mostly wooded areas, hard dirt, i dont want to just absolutly sink it in a hole of mud i like to do more trail riding. i live in southeastern kentucky if that tells anything. i want to build a rig that will be road on the highway very very little.

dont think you'll need an expensive ox locker either. stock LSD in an 8.8 would work. sounds like you're overbuilding
