Default Bronco Tireswing Question.

I've heard of people using the bronco's tire swing on their jeeps.. Does anyone know the maximum amout of weight one of them holds? I'm interested in putting a 33" tire on it. I'm not for sure how much it weighs at the moment

I had a 87 bronco that I installed a stock swing out tire carrier on it. I had a BF goodrich all terrain 35x12.5x15 on it for about 4 years I never had a problem with it. Idk how this set up would be on a jeep tho.

You'll have to do some good modification to the Jeep to make a Bronco tire carrier work. Biggest issue you're going to run into is the brake light. The Ford's have body above and below the taillight, we don't. That, and you'll need to reinforce the body from the inside to keep the tire carrier from ripping out. Personally, I would look into either making your own (pretty cheap, check on here for some tire carrier build threads) or getting Detours Tailbone set up ( I have this and it is really good).
