Nice bug. I was talking about the xj though. My first bug was a 73 baja in high school, and my second was a 64 street beetle with a type 2 1915. I miss them both, but I've moved on to better pastures
I will post those pics tomorrow night after I get it.
Wow. Nicest bug. How did you do the skeleton graphics?
I bought it that way. They are all over the hood and the spider webs all over the engine cover. I think someone took a stencil and an airbrush before the clear. It was a really nice paintjob
Yup, it came home last night. After talking to the guy more I found out we have a ton of mutual friends so what I thought was going to be a quick grab and go turned into a 4 hour BS session.
Sorry for the poor pictures. It was dark when I got home and I still had other errands to run
I will get some pictures this weekend when I go out. Found a few thing that need to be corrected. My steering badly needs an upgrade. Currently all stock. Right now trying to decide if I just go to a tie-rod drag link style that mounts in the current position or if I get one of the over knuckle styles. Of course I want to keep the costs down but want to do what is right for the long run.
I also found a small leak from my front axle. Guess when I replace the steering I will tear apart the front end and install new seals.
I will get some pictures this weekend when I go out.
Guess what I forgot to do... Yup... take pictures on the maiden voyage... I had a blast. My bro-in-law and one of his friends went along. Only picture that has my jeep in it is this.
those are my tail lights....
I am now hooked... I should have bought one of these so many years ago.
