Brakes.
So i Finally took my jeep To GoodYear to find out what all needed to be replaced with my Brakes, 20 Minutes later he tells me i need new Calipers, Pads, Rotors, And hoses. And gives me a estimate of $856. The prices were like 150 For each Caliper with pad, 50 For each rotor, 50 For each hose and i think 400 For labor. Said screw that, Went to advanced , Got everything i needed for $230 And when i bring the old Calipers back in ill Get $50 Back. . So im gonna take her up to school monday and Get the brakes and my shackles and spacers on. . All for free. ive been into advanced about 7 times this weekend lol. They've definitely Gained my Buisness forever .
So do you all think 170 For all thats a good price?
Oh and apparently my front brakes were so bad that theres almost a hole in the rotors/

Places like that will rape you. I had a brain fart and took my 88 Chevy trk to
Just Brakes to have them power bleed the brakes, because I couldn't get the air out
no matter how much I tried. Ashamed to say just how much that cost me.
"Been into" Advanced or AutoZone?

Not saying there a bad store, Just feels like when i go in there they treat me differently because im 16. As at advanced they treat me like and adult i guess you could say. At oriellys The guy got an attitude and cocky with me.

Yeah, I've had luck joy and sadness at advance, autozone, and oreillys. I think its all about the employees at that particular store.
In case no one has given you the most important advise about changing your brakes: only take apart one side at a time, and use the other side as a guide to putting it back together. All those little pieces get confusing.

Yeah, the personality of the employes at any of the auto parts stores vary, I think it dose'nt matter which one you pick it's all about the person your dealing with.

I'd recommend taking pictures of the brake assembly before you start taking it apart, that away if you have a problem figuring out how to put it back together you'll have a reference as to how it goes back together.

Glad you like your Advanced, I work at one and it's nice to hear that, alot of people dont realize how badly they can get ripped off by garages and etc when stores like advanced, autozone, and Oriellys are there to help as much as we can and chances are there's atleast one guy that will know about jeeps and etc. in your area

Anyway, $170 for a total front rebuild (Pads, rotors, calipers and flex lines) isn't that bad.
While each vehicle has it's own little nuances when it comes to brakes, the XJ's are stupid simple to work on and are a good way to build skills and confidence before tackling other vehicles in your life (stupid Lincoln brakes...).
