Default Brake Warning light on dash display

should I be concerned? a mechanic looked at it and thinks it's a sensor. IF it is a sensor what is repair cost ?

I purchased this used from a private party on Friday July 23

Whose mechanic looked at it, their mechanic or yours?

If it's their mechanic, take it somewhere and have it repaired before driving it for any extended period of time. If it was YOUR mechanic, then find another mechanic, because thinking it's a sensor is not a proper diagnosis or fix.

Again, I suggest strongly you have it fixed before driving it,, its a safety issue...
