I am putting together a homebrew lift kit. I have heard that you can get Grand Cherokee rear brake lines and put them in as they are 4 inches longer. So here is my question -
1. Is the rear a direct bolt in?
I'll throw another one out there because I just thought of it -
2. Do the fronts also just bolt right in, are they any longer?
I will probably buy them new from the parts store, so I just needed to know what to tell the kid behind the counter. Thanks all!

I heard Dakota rears were the ones to go with, I think they are something like 6" longer.
The fronts can be unbolted, a new hole drilled, and replaced in a lower configuration. This depends on how tall of a lift.

U should be fine up front. Im at 5.5" and all we did was bend the metal part of the hose near the caliper towards the frame. as for the rear its a 1996 dakota 4x4 I believe the part #to be H38686 from tru torque brand.
For the front yj brake lines will work. They are 4" longer than the factory xj ones.
Dakota rears are 6" longer,as stated. You will need them from a 95-00.
