I am thinking about taking the molding off the sides of my 99' XJ. How do I get it off and how do I remove the goo under it. Will it ruin the paint underneath? I think that it would look better without the molding. Thanks

 

I used a plastic putty knife to get the molding off and lots of goo gone on the double sided tape. Lots of elbow grease!

 

Spray the goo gone on and let it sit for 20 mins and then use a rag to wipe it off in circular motions
