Default body lift?

ha, i bet you thought you were gonna have to explain a stupid newbie question. but the other day at work, some kid was trying to act cool and told me he had a 3" body lift on his xj. it was classic, i just smiled and nodded. has anybody had someone say something like that to them?

I get this all the time. People think that coil spacers are a body lift. Can't do a body lift on a unibody noobs

I don't know what your talking about, I have a 2" body lift on mine. The only thing was the frame was really badly seized to the body, so I had to cut it, but then the hockey puck fit nicely.

It has been done though. Add another frame or cut the body from the frame and patch it up and mount it to the frame with bolts.

yes, it is possible with a lot of fabrication, but you can't buy a body lift for an xj, and you can tell by talking to someone if the have the knowledge or skills needed to fabricate one

Why would u even want a stupid body kit anyway, they make no sense, thats why i take pride in owning a jacked up cherokee because unless u buy an entire grand cherokee frame for $300 at least im guessin and fabricate pointless holes in the body of your xj and pointless rubber bushings costing nearly $400 and destroying a perfectly fine unibody for 1-3" of lift while destroying your cog. A 1-3" lift in suspension is $300-450 and it looks much better especially when ya flex those coils!!!
