What do you mean by "Useable Tailgates"?? Unless its smashed up like yours or rusted all up its useable.

 

They are all dented/smashed not able to put a window back in them.

Go to Besslers, over in Hebron. They have a very nice 01 xj silver. I can't remember if the rear door is still intact but worth a try.

Have you been to U Pull n Pay on Seymour or LKQ in Dayton. LKQ had quite a few XJ's a couple of weeks ago.

 

Cool! What part? The pull an pay had a 01 but it was missing the tailgate. I'll check out LKQ, thanks.

 

Check you local Harbour Freight store for Slide Hammer
May need a baby sledge hammer also, about 4 lb

 

How does it work? I'll probably look it up on YouTube but a basic explanation would be nice.

And I got a tailgate without a window for $40 yesterday.

Almost, still need a rear window and to paint the new tailgate. Maybe slide hammer the dent? And thanks! I hope it goes smoothly from here!

 

If the dude doesn't know what a slide hammer is I doubt they have the equipment on hand to spot weld studs.

Could always just drill a hole and use screws.
