Hey everyone I'm building a jeep for a buddy of mine and he really wants to do a long arm lift. It's a dd and gets wheeled on the weekends. He's looking at a 6.5 inch RC long arm kit but really likes the IRO 6.5 critical path kit. What are your experiences with these? Which will give him good flex and strength off road while still have good road manners? The jeep is a 97 xj np242 chry 8.25

I don't have any real experience with either kit, but I would suggest going with the iron rock offroad kit over the RC kit. Only because I've heard alot and I mean alot of bad stuff about RC products and how the SUCK. And how people are having so many problems with there items. Me Personally am going with T&T Customs long arm kit when I can afford it. Its a High Clerance long arm kit with a large belly pan/skid plate for the tranny cross member that the long arms attach to. More expensive than the other 2 but well worth it in my opinion.

that's bs... RC is good stuff, there's some haters, mostly rusty's fans (starting to wonder if he's got a crew of minions) that are out to destroy RC's reputation.

HOWEVER, If I could choose between RC and IRO, I would definately go with Iron rock offroad.

Not saying everyone who runs rusty's is a minion, most of em are damn good people, just there's a few that seem to love to bash without any proof whatsoever.

long arms? it will handle better than stock control arms on a lifted jeep. ride smoother too. You may need to call them and specify which transmission and T-case he's using though.

Lol yeah stock gears would be terrible. The IRO kit is a 3 link and I believe the RC kit is a radius arm. Would there be much of s difference?

Wasn't what someone told me. Just reading the multiple posts on here from multiple different people. And that's enough for me to stear clear of RC cherokee suspension parts.

not in that aspect, they both only connect to the body in 2 places. There's more to adjust on the RC kit.

Most of those are probably the people I'm referring too, lol. It's been trolling this forum quite a bit. You want to know for sure, ask those guys for pics and proof. Not that it matters if you're going with the higher dollar stuff anyway. you do get what you pay for.

I believe the 3 Link will give him more flex when he takes it off road.

if you go to the site and look at the pics, the only difference as far as links go is the rc is a y on both sides connecting to both upper and lower control arm mounts, where as the iron rock one is only a y on one side, where on the other it's just an arm connecting to the lower mount. I suppose that might let it twist a little more, but I'm not really seeing how.
