Default Best tire ??

What is the best tire to get for off-road an on-road use ? I'm looking for a tire that I can get a lot of Mileage on but still are nice. Thinking of getting 31s or 32s. Any help ?

Being as I doubt anyone has tried every tire, I think that is kind of impossible to answer.

From my own experience:
Durra-tracks- last for ever... almost 50k. They grip ok on rocks and are the best I have tried on snow/ice.

SuperSwamper LTB- Good in the mud but terrible on the road. You slide around when wet/ice. They make a ton of noise on the road and wear fairly quickly.

SuperSwamper Thornbirds- Not really good at anything lol.

Kumho M/T- Much better on the road than either swamper but worse than the Durra-Track. Much better in mud than Durra-track but TERRIBLE in sand. So far about 15k in and about half tread.

TreadWright.com retreads- My set did rather well for itself... They did seem to cut up a bit on the rocks but they lasted along time and are real cheap. If add the extra money for "kege grip" or whatever they do pretty good on ice.

That is about the limit of my experience. This will be my next set as they are semi-affordable and I would like to try them. (The M/T) http://www.fiercetires.com/tires/attitude-mt/index.html

X2 on duratracs. Unless all you do is moab or mud bogging, they won't let you down. Plus they are insane in the snow

That's what I was thinking. I can see around 50k but 80k is a stretch by far.
