I hooked up the little blue light in my new lamps, dont do it! The connector is weak and breaks apart, then it shorts out your parking and turning lights. I thought I got a defected part and sent them back, 3 times. DONT HOOK THEM UP!

but, does it blind other drivers on low?
I have only had a few people flash me because of the low beams, so I would say they are not to blinding.

I bought some Sylvania Silver Stars for my S10(same as for a XJ), they are bright, i even have eyebrows on them and still shine way out and wide. People tend to flash their lights when mine are on dim they're so bright. I like em.

+1 I like the Xtravisions as well. Back about 7 years ago I was a specialist with a parts house and tried all the kinds we carried then... Cool Blue's, silverstar's, and the xtravisions ,amongst a few others that I forget at the moment. The xtra's and silverstars were about the same brightness on mine but the xtravisions had a much longer bulb life so I went with those and they're still in with no complaints all these years later.
