Default which is the best combination between lift kit and tyres?

Gentleman good morning to all of you.
I'm new on this forum and mater of the off road vehicles. I leave in Argentina and i have a fantastic Cherokee 4.0 L 6 cylinders 4x4. With my son we want to install a lift kit and more big set of tyres. We are thinking to install 3 inch lift kit and 31 x 10.5 x 15 tyres set plus 1 and 1/2 inch spacer (for have more stability in order to compensate the lift kit).
Which lift kit and tyre combination is the best? 90% off the time the car will be use on the road.
Thanks a lots guys for the support.
Luca

I really like the 3 inch lift and 31" tire combo. It's a great compromise for an XJ that will not be a dedicated trail vehicle. I think you will be happy.

And for the spacers, are you talking wheel spacers? I would just pick 4" or 3.75" backspaced steel wheels and be done with it. They are pretty affordable.
