If its done right and has a nice pattern I think it looks clean.

Rustoleum rattle can bedliner is pretty good with good prep but it does fade quick. I did my bumpers and the color faded after a few months and its hard as s*** to keep clean. Looks amazing when you first paint it just dont expect that to last. Your gonna have to be touching it up.

Would you recommend just throwing a coat of black paint over it after you put the bedliner on? Or would that just create a horrible mess...

I say just leave it alone till it fades it was on the lower section of my jeep for over a year and never faded

rattle can worked fine for me over the bed liner. Painted it about 6 months ago and it's holding up great.

Maybe he can check back in in a couple years with some pics so we can see how it's holding up?
