Default Bed Lining ZJ

I want to bed line the exterior of my ZJ and I was wondering if any of you guys had your Cherokees done professionally and how much it cost. All the threads I found were on doing it yourself. I unfortunately don't have the garage space or live in an area with acceptable weather.

Yike$... that could get spendy real quick... I'm a fan of LineX...However just to have a standard fullsize bed done can be over $500...

How much are you prepared to spend?

I've always used Herculiner and done it myself... Heck, you can get a quality spray gun for $25.

Having it professionally done isn't my first choice. I'm just in a bind more or less to get this on asap, because where I park my jeep (in a parking garage at my apartment building), my XJ and now ZJ have been keyed. XJ I didn't care about, since they keyed the side that was missing a mirror and door handle. ZJ however is more noticeable and its deep, so it'll be a little more work than just a simple touch up. And I don't want to spend that money only for it to happen again.

How much are we talking? A couple grand? I think I'd look into paying a buddy to use his garage and maybe just buying space heaters or something. I don't have a garage to work on my Jeep, and it's winter in Chicago.

It's cheaper to stop pissing off the jack hole that keeps keying your rigs.

The building this garage is for, has 900 units. So there's a lot of people here.

The first issue I had was one of the garage attendants tried driving my lifted XJ up on the second floor (where it doesn't belong, since it barely fits in the garage as it is), ripped my roof rack off, and placed it off to the side. When I noticed it, everyone who worked there played dumb. I found out 6 months later what happened.

The second time some punk kid stole my keys and another residents keys out of our vehicles, where they're supposed to be so the garage guys can move the vehicles, and he took them and I ended up being late to work and was called later on buy the guy's father with some BS excuse that he found them on the street. He called Autozone, since I have a tag on my ring.

Third time was when the XJ was keyed. Driving to work and some girl who parks in my garage left around the same time and down the road cut me off because her lane was blocked. She thought my 33'' MT scratched her car and while at a stop light got out of her car, while talking on the phone, and started saying "i know where the ****er lives" etc. She looked at me and I told her a tire wouldn't "scratch" her car. There'd be more damage. Then told her if she wasn't on the phone while driving, which is illegal here, she wouldn't have mystery scratches. Then some other words were exchanged. Week later my XJ had a key along the entire side. Whatever. Deserved that I suppose. It's a trail rig, whatever.

Fourth time was when I had just bought my new ZJ. Parked it in the garage the night I got it. Gave them the keys since it'd have to sit for a week to get plated. Well during that week it sat, this happened: https://i.imgur.com/gapXA2v.jpg No one knows how and the cameras weren't facing that direction.

Fifth time, the most recent incident, within the last couple weeks the ZJ has a deep "X" on the passenger door, and it gets lighter but goes along the entire side of the vehicle.

I'm moving in June.

Edit: It's worth mentioning that another resident had his car stolen and was retrieved about a week later or so I believe. Then an employee of the building almost had his car stolen but caught the guy as he was driving out.

My original plan was to wait till spring when I'll have a house down south, where I'm moving, but I'll still be in this building. I was going to Plastidip it. Well I'm kind of having second thoughts on that now. A friend who had his truck Line-X'd said doing the whole Jeep might be under a grand or so, since they use thicker coats for truck beds. I don't want to spend more than a grand for this, since if I can find a space, I can do it myself for cheaper. I should be getting some replies from some local bed lining companies on quotes. Maybe they'll have a holiday sale lol.

I also don't really want to have a huge key scratch along the entire side of my new to me Jeep for the next 7 months..

If I do it myself, I'd go with Monstaliner. If it gets professionally done, it looks like it'd be either Rhino or Line X. I think they both would be covered under a warranty, which might be nice. I'd also want to go black with it. If I dipped it, I would have went matte black or gun metal.

How is it to bed line the wheels? Does that throw off the balancing or anything?

Nope..

But it was a pain in the **** to clean up the wheels(rust)... it was a last ditch effort... I was going to go w/ some new beadlocks but thought I'd try to clean up the old ones and get another year outta 'em...

Just like painting.. prep work is the real work.. sprayin product on takes no time at all....

If I could do it myself I would. It's just not feasible right now and unfortunately I've had enough with this and want it to just be done with.
