Smile Bed lining stock xj flares and bumpers

Hey folks, I am a newbie to the whole forum ordeal and correct me if i am in the wrong category. But I am looking to bed line my 1998 XJ Classics stock flares and bumpers. Considering these are plastic, do I HAVE to sand and primer before I spray the bed liner on? Thanks in advance members!

Just scuff em with some sand paper and apply the Bedliner.

Awesome. One more question, should I peel the tape off around the fenders ASAP to avoid sticking or should I let it dry?

I suggest selling your flares and bumper endcaps lots of people want the gloss color matched flares, I sold mine off my classic for $125.00

Pick up some flares from a junkyard then sand and spray with bedliner
