Default Funny you should ask about this now...

I bought my Jeep three years ago this month and went over the floor with Rustoleum Rust Converter and then the spray on bed liner when I bought it. I put the stock carpet back in but ripped out the factory sound deadening (held a lot of moisture). I can hear a lot of general "mechanical" noise, but it has not been overwhelming.

I just took the Jeep off the road for awhile after picking up a car for a daily driver. I started ripping things apart again to see how it is holding up. The surface rust in the passengers side floor and under some of the seam sealer is starting to come back but nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be. I would say the spray on bedliner held up better than I thought it would. With that said, I am going with Chassis Saver this time around. I picked up a quart at my local NAPA today for $39.99 and it should do the areas I need. I ordered the vinyl carpet replacement and some new seats from Morris 4x4 and will see how that goes as far as reducing sound (and removing the interior smell from the old seats and carpet).

I installed new motor and transmission mounts, shocks, front brakes and hubs, exhaust mounts, CPS sensor, radiator, hoses and a few other parts over the last year. I still need new rear springs, tires and rims and should be good for a few more years.
