Bed lined my roof
ok my roof had some defective paint or something and i decided to bed line it after seeing how some of you had done. the metal was rusted bad so i got out my angle grinder and wire wheel and started at it. it took me 4.5 hours and my arms were ready to fall off but this is what it looked like..
then because the metal didn't look so good i used some rust killer primer on the bare metal after i taped everything off.

then it was time for the Duplicolor bedliner. had to stir it for about 30 min. to get it properly mixed. then i applied 2 coats about 2 hours apart. here it is, I still have some touch up to do but that won't take long.

May have been better off with the rattle can stuff, I think it looks nicer even though its not as tough (doesnt really need to be tough on the roof). nice work though, i bet that was a pain in the butt to get done

I'm doing this sometime this summer, my roof has all these little circles and you can tell there is rust underneath...
Im thinking just grind/sand, prime and then roll it on and it shouldn't be too obvious on my purple xj
It should hold up good if i throw a kayak up there sometime lol

hey everyone , just to let you know there was a noticeable decrease in cabin noise with the addition of the bed liner to the roof.
