Hello, all
I am back in the XJ game after being away a few years. I found an early model XJ I was looking for, and have commenced tearing the carpet out, doing some engine work, and just making it driveable for now.

I found an 85 Laredo. Fully loaded, and very well taken care of. Yes, it has the 2.8. I'm very familiar with those, and have no trouble with them. Gutless compared to the 4.0, but I'm in no hurry.

I had the exact same model a few years ago. Doing a 4.5" RC lift with 32x11.5-15s. The Smittybilt bumpers are looking real nice, so I may get a set.

I've got the 4.0l in mine. This is my first Jeep, so not familiar with the 2.8l. Is the 85 carbuerated? I haven't dealt with one of those in over 10 years, don't miss it either. I did 5" of lift on mine w/ control arm drop brackets. I have been happy with the ride, smooth, not harsh at all. The 90 has been interesting as the computer is very basic. Troubleshooting has been difficult. Looks good.
