ATTN: Dana 44 owners!
Outlaw Star and I was discussing about XJ & MJ DANA 44 rear axles.
Now I need your input. I need a favor from y'all. If you have a Dana 44 rear axle under your XJ or MJ, please measure the axle tube diameter.
I need to know more information such as the year and trim level of the donor Cherokee/Comanche. And what gear ratio, whether if it's open or equipped with LSD (Trac-Lok).
I don't want to hear "my father's cousin's brother's uncle's former roommate said/told me this". I need you to verify by measuring yourself. Eyeballing is not acceptable. Dial calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and rulers are acceptable.
Thank you very much! I truly appreciate it!

Can't give you measurements right now, but I pulled one off an 87 xj, don't recall trim level, it is open diff with 3.55. I'll try and get measurements tonight after work.

We also need D35 and ChryCo 8.25 models as well. PLEASE include good pics of your findings and also state Open or LSD (factory, not swapped please.) as well. Thank you.

Whoops. RCBS case length gauge. Accurate to 0.1mm. I then converted to inches. I use to use my dial calipers for a "second opinion" but don't bother anymore.
