Ask CherokeeForum-Replacing Leafs (Poll)
So I have a '95 XJ, that I bought with a 3" RC AAL. Well the rear tires are rubbing off road a bit (I run 31" M/Ts) and I think the pack is starting to wear out a bit. It still rides pretty level, but I wouldn't ming a bit of rake.
So my question is this- What should be my method of fixing it?
Before I thought about the sagging leafs, I planned to add a 1" block, and I suppose that's still an option.
Plan B would be replacing the AAL. Not the best choice, I'd think.
Plan C- Rough Country 3" full leaf pack.
Plan D- Rough Country 4" or 4.5" full pack, and throw a coil spacer up front.
Plan E- Bastard Pack in the rear, coil spacer to match, if needed.

plan 3 because an 80$ bastard pack works just as well as a 400$ leaf pack, and you can do 4 bastard packs for the price of one leaf pack. 5 packs if the full leafs are really 400, I remember them being close to that at one point.

Personally, I was thinking bastard pack, my question then is how much lift will I get out of a bastard pack? My friend's 99 was getting like 4-4.5, I thought.

Yeah, I was told lies about blocks. And by the time I created this thread I had no intention of using them, just put it in the poll for the hell of it.
When I say bastard pack, I am thinking of a S-10/Dakota leaf pack. My terminology may not be the best. Anyone have any experience with these and how much lift a direct swap will give you?
12 feet sounds good to me

you cant just put in a s-10 or dakota pack. the amount of lift and ride quality all depends on which leafs you use from the donor pack and which leafs you use from the cherokee. i personally would go with the 4.5 inch packs and a spacer up front cuz you wont rub at all and that extra 1.5 inches makes such a clearance difference!!!
