And as far as the topic goes, you could always just get any old brush guard and get it polished. I don't think it looks right on the 97-01 but if you like it that's all that matters. Plus, custom mounting one, although requiring more work, will give better protection. I cringe when I see those bull bars that wrap way down under the bumper and bolt on, it's just a big chunk of metal waiting to eat your radiator if you hit someone or something. If you're a fabber, make some steel plate frame mounts come out and through your bumper to mount a guard on. This is my plan for my push bar

Now I'm confused. To my knowledge, the first one you picture is typically referred to as a brush guard since it extends outward and has the protection for the lights. Some of those are designed with removable light guards which would 'transform' them into a standard push or bull bar (depending on how they mount). The second one you posted which says "bull bar" is not, it's referred to as a push bar and is like the ones found on cop cars (I assume to be used as a battering ram) and some taxis, which I guess are just old cop cars because taxi drivers should not be ramming people. "Should not." Lastly a bull bar mounts under the bumper and comes up to cover it but has no mounts directly to the bumper or grill itself. Then there are also pre-runners and stingers which to my knowledge are always integrated directly into the bumper, not as an add-on.
So which specifically are you trying to find? Don't forget anything can be polished or chrome-plated if you really can't find it already in chrome.

The second one i posted has the headlight guards that mount to the main frame. The second picture is what i want. Sorry for the confusion. But isnt the first picture i posted the same as the second? The main center part of it i mean

Yeah assuming the light guards are removable. The light guards just add that brush guard designation just as differentiation to help people know what it is specifically. Man, that sentence was wordy... A push bar isn't gonna guard you from brush unless you're driving straight into it lol and typically metal fenders don't need protected from that, it's pretty much just for the lights since a good whack from a branch can break glass or plastic lenses. It's all just words, man. They are mislabeled all the time because it's not a big deal lol I'm just picky and specific.
The second picture you posted, post #23, is a push bar. If you want light guards then post #2 is what you want, a brush guard.
That might help you find it easier.
Yes, they are the same base. In my opinion a push bar is best, can definitely be stronger and I think better looking. If you get a push bar that has bolt on light guards, which makes it a brush guard, then you can customize the look to your wants and needs. Pretty cool to have that option I think.

Exactly why i want it lol. I love the look of it with the headlight guards. Plus it has light mounts for some kc's i hope to get. Now i just have to find where to get it. I know its out there, just havnt found one for the cherokee. The one i posted, the second pic, is made for a ford ranger. You think that would work with the Cherokee? Bumper lines seem pretty close
