Anyone here have the xj 'up country' package?
I ordered my 2k xj in late '99 with the factory 'up country' package.
Its was all there, the hooks, skid plates, lsd, etc. except they forgot the 'up country' emblem.
Never even knew there was an 'up country' emblem until a few years ago.
Found one on fleabay but don't know where they originally went on the vehicle. Anyone know where the emblem should be located at?

IIRC the decals were only issued on 97-98's (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and were decontented on later Up Country XJ's.
The Up Country decals are NLA from Mopar last I checked so if you got a real one I'm jealous!

Thanks for the info USN....
It was advertised as OEM Mopar. Haven't got it yet so we'll see. Around $25.
With the OEM smoked rear windows, its gonna be hard to see if placed on the inside.
You must be right about Jeep discontinuing them on later XJs as my 2k up country doesn't have the sticker.

That looks like the real part. They were $100 from your local Jeep dealer before they went NLA so you got a deal! If you go look at pictures online of actual ones installed they are a little hard to see behind the smoked glass but that is how they were installed from the factory. It might look better in the corner of the windshield on a smoked glass XJ.

Yeah i found it on fleabay one day where there were 4 available. I ordered the next day where only 1 was left.
Me thinks i gave a heads up here for those 3 that were sold overnight! LOL

Sorry for reviving an old thread lol but I went through the same thing with my 2000 Up Country that didn’t have the decals from the factory. They actually go on the rear quarter window near the bottom right corner - that’s the reason the decals are designed the way they are, they shape with the corner. See these pics below from factory - you can barely make it out but it’s there.
