Default Anyone flip/almost flip their XJ?

so i got stuck teetering on 2 opposite wheels last weekend while offroading and it felt like i was gonna roll my xj. Ended up having to stack 3 guys on the front right corner to stabilize it enough to try and drive off. basically I want to know how much it takes to flip an xj and wanted to ask someone with experience.

anyone have anything good?

this is about as close as ive come. with 3" lift and 37's on wider than stock axles.

she was going over, but i was able to drive into it and save it.

of course there are many variables and most rolls you see are a result of speed and a bad hop while going uphill.

this one was precarious enough that everyone wanted to throw a strap on me.

lots of grip on the shotcrete

I almost flipped over my front bumper and landed directly on the windshield last time I was out. That would have been bad. Managed to stomp the gas and drive out of it.

I've flopped it over on it's side twice. Those were very light and I'd hardly call them a roll.

it will go pretty far before it goes over. my xj felt like it barely flopped from the balance point to this.... but there are so many different things that will change when it will happen like speed momentum, lift, tires, terrain... like my old dodge i barely skidded sideways and it went right over cause it was way too tall with stiff suspension

Ya know, it takes literally 15 seconds to file a report, and filing a report will get more done than making a post like this.

I'm proud to say I have rolled my previous xj. I guess I'm proud. I have to steal the pics off my buddy's facebook but my avatar pic next to my name is one of them.

It was 2 summers and we just had a quick thunder shower only about 20 min long but it soaked everything. Of course now we didn't want to go home cause it was muddy. So we were running late and rushing to get back. My xj wasnt legal for the road so we had to stay in the bush and go the long way. Well push came to shove and we were cruisin coming down a very loose and wet gravel road and had to make almost a u-turn at the bottom onto another road/path. I kicked the *** end around rally car style and it was gonna be perfect until I saw my front pass tire was gonna go up a little mount of dirt and that's when gravity took its course and we rolled onto the drivers side and onto the roof. As soon as that pass tire lifted up onto the dirt mound the rear drivers tire stuck like I just did a power slide into a curb. Lucky the windows were down and we could crawl out.

Some guy in a wrangler came across us before my buddy could get there and he winched it back onto its wheels. It was on its roof for an hour and as soon we rolled it back over it fired right up on the 2nd try. Smoked like an idiot for a lil bit but I kicked the windshield out a bit and drove it the rest of the way home. Good times.

96 xj 4.0 w/ 4" lift, 33's and no sway bars.

I'm not so sure how many folks I'd tell that story to.

Eh. Unless someone makes the report or a Moderator stumbles on the thread it'll never get fixed.

I flipped my grand Cherokee 1 3/4 times. Booze, loose gravel road, driving about 60 at 2 am ,stupidity= grand Cherokee rolling 1 3/4 times into cornfield. that was my one get outta jail free card. I no longer drive if i have anything to drink at all.
after we (my neighbors and I) got it back on the wheels it almost made it out of the field before it no longer drove.
lesson learned.
