Default Anyone ever smash their pedal?

I've gotten on it a few times just messing around but my engine will hit about 5k before shifting

How hard is it on the engine to do this?

Not saying I run my jeep hard but I got on it pretty good today and I don't wanna hurt my baby

i bounce of the rev limiter pretty often.no direct damage done. used 4 liters are cheap, plentiful, and easy to swap anyway.

Didn't think I was hurting it but it sounds like its running its little heart out lol
I know they are cheap but I could be using the money on something else.
Thanks for the reply

No harm, if anything it's probably good for the i6 to tach it out once and a while.

Yeah, but they'll do that when bein gentle, too.. Haha.
Also, bigger issue will be stress to driveline parts if you do this at the wrong time off road.

Its good to give the engine some real throttle now and then, as long as you dont run it at 5k for a long time
