I run caps.Mine are stainless steel and haven't had any problems with rust or dents.

I use center caps. I like the way they look, nd how they give a clean look to my XJ. Mine are not dented, rusted, or scratched one bit.

On the XJ - front/rear. You can get these tapered black caps from Rock Ratz or ebay. I wouldn't run the XJ w/o caps. Mud is evil.
