Anybody have any experience with this? it seems like an easy alternative to a winch bumper. Not that im not getting aftermarket bumpers I have found a few bumpers with hitch receivers and there cheaper and less bulky. And being able to winch from front or rear is very convenient in some stick situations. like a narrow trail, no room to turn around and the guy behind you in a dodge gets stuck and you decide to winch him out. etc. you get the point. Any experience with it tho?

 

I made my own. It beats spending the money on two winches any day. Just don't buy the warn kit for running a winch in the rear. It's rediculous. Just buy some wire from ebay or a welding shop and some anderson connectors.

 

I wasn't gonna buy a warn kit was just gonna run a positive from the battery, under carpet to the back. And have a grounded wire in the back to hook up.

 

I make one. A customer sent me pics of him rolling an FJ cruiser back on its wheels from its side, uphill. Winch cradle didnt budge. I make my bumpers with hitch recievers for this exact pupose.



I dont personally rock one, but I know many people that do without problem......
