Your XJ is actually more environmentally friendly than a Prius. You just don't get the warm and fuzzy feelings when you pass a gas station. The hardest part of driving a Prius is telling your dad that you're gay.

This isn't far from the truth. If you compare the environmental impact of me driving a 21 year old vehicle that already exists with the environmental impact of creating a Prius (which involves some very nasty for the earth/air/water mining) it would take many years of jeep driving for my carbon footprint to equal that of the construction of 1 Prius.
