i have been looking into purchasing another jeep mostly for dd use, not sure what tho but prob in the 93-98 year range should i go with another xj or try out the grand cherokee.

Thats what Im gonna do eventually.... and then drop a 4bt cummins in it. Cant argue with buttloads of torque and about 30 mpg highway lol.

But in all honesty, from what I know, the ZJ has a nicer/more comfy interior, especially when it comes to seats. But you can't argue with the XJ because... well... it's an XJ. You could always get a '98 XJ and swap some nice ZJ seats in...

The ZJ suffers less from wind noise and is more plush inside. I love my 95 ZJ!

I would opt for a ZJ or WJ if I were you. considering you are looking for a DD as opposed to a trail rig. ZJ and such will be a much more comfortable ride in the long run.

I got rid of my XJ to pick up a ZJ for DD purposes and I dont regret it. Interior is light years better (96-98 ZJ atleast), and the ride is far better.

sold my zj to go back to an xj.. it's mostly used for a wknd warrior and xj fits my style better.

Easier to find a clean adult owned unmolested ZJ or WJ than it is to find a unhacked XJ for a decent price.

I like the GC, but mine still has too much of that soccer mom look even with the louder exhaust.
