I've been waiting to see if anyone on here with projectors would do the mod. How durable is the plasti dip? Are you getting any flaking or chipping?

I'll probably end up taking my polycarb lenses out and spraying the inside of them with niteshades since I have a couple cans of it in my garage.

How 'bout a hinged sheet metal flap, sort of like a shutter with a retaining clip, movable eye-lids actuated with a pull cable (you could "wink" one light at-a-time). I wanted to do the angry-eyes paint mask as I've seen here but then I realized it would defeat the cat-eye beam pattern produced by the lenses of my Hellas.

That would be more work than it would be worth lol. Besides the cables wouldn't make it look right. If you want to go for the hidden headlight look, make the flaps, attach them to small actuators that could move them up and down, and wire them to a button next to your headlight switch

Do you have cutoff pictures like this one? I don't mean a projector cutoff, but any picture of your beam pattern up against a wall. I just wanna see what the angry eyes do.

Can I use normal enamel spray paint for this? Do I remove the headlights to do this or should I do it right in the header panel?

Reason I'm asking is because in the next few days I'll be putting a new header panel in, so I could easily do this before I put the headlights back into the new panel.

After I put the header panel in, though, I am getting a brush guard installed, along with two baja off-road lights on the guard, and getting the headlights alligned... I'm wondering if I should do this mod before or after. I want to do it before so that I don't have to work around a brush guard, but I want to do it after because I don't want my mechanic to think I'm a freak, haha.

Unless somebody here can tell me how to allign the headlights myself? The 4 screws and the spring that holds the one corner of the light confuses the hell out of me. Appreciate the help!

I can rub the cheap enamel off with a rag and a little paint thinner and nothing is messed up.
