Still deciding on if I should go through with it. I used electrical tape to do the mock-up. I'll probably use some window tint if I wanna make things more permanent.

Exactly. Its just your opinion. You shared it, thanks for the input. If you don't like the idea, then you don't have to read or post in this thread anymore.
But some of us take pride in our trucks. Some of us want it to look nice, as well as function phenomenally off road. So if someone has five minutes and some leftover spray paint, what's so wrong with making their Jeep look less like all the other XJs out there who ignore outside appearances? Its called being unique. And if its a mod that makes my rig stand out from the croud, then thats enough function for me.

I went and did it too... hell ya!
Unfortunately, this was right after I installed a new header panel, so I had to take the tape off to adjust the headlights. I am getting a brush guard installed within the week, and I believe the cage part of the guard over the headlights is removable, so I can take that off, get the eyes lookin' angry again, and put the cage back on!

I don't get the whole angry eyes thing. It seems kinda tunerish to me,does it serve a purpose? Most of us add a buncha foglights and upgrade our headlights to see better seems kinda silly to actually loose some of your lighting just for looks.Just saying maybe I am too old and and just dont see how COOl it iz.I blacked out my turn signals once but then I grew up.Jmho
Its your Jeep do whatever you like to it.You just said it does NOTHING to your light output which is my whole point. A more angry look?More angry than what? Its just my opinion that a mod should actually do something or increase its ability to do something.May as well put a rear fin on it wont do anything either but if you do your Jeep will for sure actually be more ANGRY.grrrrrrrrrrr

Yep I take pride in mine as well, just like you said its just my opinion and I was honestly asking if it actually did anything. And by the way I never read in CF rules where we all must agree on something in order to post in a thread. Sorry if I hurt you feelings there Ace.
Pretty easy to understand.
I had some legit questions for you, too. Like, what's so wrong with customizing our rides for less than 5$ out of pocket? Not many lights cost less than 5$.
Maybe you are too OLD to understand ''how COOL it iz''

I gave the angry eyes a go. Used electrical tape for now, if the local gestapo gives me grief I can pull it off, if not I will make it permanent.
Also just painted the grille and light moldings with bedliner paint. Not much contrast between green and black so you can't really tell. But I think I will also paint the wheel flares, bumpers, side panels below the body line, and all emblems with this bedliner material.
I like angry eyes. There are tons of cheap mods that really serve no purpose other than to make an XJ unique and I say go for it.

You didn't hurt my feelings. I called you on coming into a thread and taking little shots at those of us who like the aggressive look. If you can't take being called out, don't poke at members.

It might take a couple of weeks. The lift kit is going on this weekend and then paint when I get a chance. I will post before and after so you can pass on to Matt.
