Ammonia smell?
Parked the 2001 project in the small shop and it was closed in there for a few days, walked in and was overcome by the smell of ammonia.
This is a small s well sealed shop with NOTHING else in there.
The rear tire went flat, was thinking maybe it was something in the tire,, but (maybe, maybe not) the smell seams to be coming from the front.
A/C ??
any ideas??

Windshield Washer fluid sort of smells ammonia-ish, an chance there is a leak?
Also, from experience, any chance any critters are in this shop. Racooons, stray cats, etc.? I had a buddy who had a stray cat that loved to crawl into his engine bay and ****. Damn thing reeked like ammonia!

Auto air conditioners these days use freon not ammonia as in some early conditioners.
Ammonia based air conditioners are still in use today in industrial applications.
Maybe that shop used ammonia for cleaning purposes or has an old ammonia air conditioner but doubt that.
Best answer:
Curry's thought = a cat, dog or some other creature not limited to a human being pissed on the passenger front tire.

When I say there is no where for a critter to hide, there is NOWHERE
one of the tires "aired down" thinking there may have been something in the tire ?
