Granted, mine don't line up anymore but that doesn't have anything to do with the hinges. Has a lot to do with the roof line being bashed in.

The only thing I warn about is that usually you never reinstall the door check pins which leads to flinging the door open hard. Enough of that will remove the body side hinges from the body and you'll be welding them back on.

Be careful about running no door check pins.

(and this was with the check pins...)

this also happens with people useing the door to lift them selfs into the rig. which also often messes up steering colums also

I just use a little quick release pin with an O-ring to pull on for my door check pin.

You can get those at west marine or other boating stores.

Well I don't mean the door pin that holds it in place while swinging it open, I mean the actual bolt that holds the door on the latch. Do people just use the stock bolt and slide it into the hinge or do they weld on a stronger bolt to keep it from bending? This bolt right here.

Happened to me when I parked on a hill with the drivers door facing down and it swung open without a check arm and broke that weld

U dont have to weld anything.. I did mine on my 98 and was simple.. If u cut the lower hole on the top hinge off, makes it simple to install and remove and didnt effect it at all. Just put the top bolt in on door side, line up the bottom and drop pin in.. Simple.. I also drilled my hinges on the doorside to fit a 3/8 bolt. The body side hinge fits a 3/8 bolt bout perfect. I plan to do a write up sometime but idk lol
