Default Alignment Question

I just lifted my jeep the other day (3.5") and got my 31" bf t/a all terrain tires on today. We did the track bar relocation hole at 3/4" from the center of the original hole but now the tire on the passenger side is sticking out at most 1/2" enough that it's noticeable. Would an alignment fix this since it's such a small offset?

No it won't fix it. You need to get an adjustable trac bar.

Any type of lift you should get a realignment, but you do need a new trac bar.

Ok great! Time to work some more to make money for that. Should I wait until I get the adjustable before I get it aligned? It's handled very well, much better than stock on the high way so far, besides the passenger wheel rubbing on more than half turn. Planning on taking it down to Delaware this thursday

Depends on how long it takes to get the track bar, but if its going to be more than a week or so, I'd get it aligned.

Alignment won't fix it, you need an adjustable trackbar

Ok, found a deal on craigslist for a Clayton adjustable, going to contact him tomorrow. Possibly have it Monday and on Tuesday. Get my alignment on Wednesday, since I have to wait for my quick disconnects to come in Tuesday

So this clayton adjustable instructions online that was last revised in 07' says that the track bar works with 3-5" of lift. Now on their website it says that you must have at least 4"s of lift. This guy I am talking to had it on his 4.5" 99' for a year. Since I have a 3.5" lift and some parts are flexible by specs, do you think the track bar will still work for me being .5"s shorter than what the website says?

In the future the 3/4" track bar relocation is kind of just an estimate. The best way to relocate it is to drop it back on it's own weight with the track bar to axle mount disconnected. Center the axle by turning the steering wheel, it should pull the body over the axle. Then drill the new hole.

Ok, and the guy is saying how I might need a drop bracket for the track bar? Why would I if the track bar is listed for 4-6" of lift and he only had a 4.5" I thought that was only if you went over the lift specs on the bar

Nevermind, his buddy installed it and just had a iron rock bracket laying around. I'm guessing he didn't want to drill the 9/16ths hole just in case he ever wanted to go back to stock (which he has)

So before I tackle this install tomorrow, how hard is it to get the track bar off the frame? I thought it was just a coder pin and bolt but I'm starting to read about torches and separating forks?
