Question Alignment after lift question

Planning on doing my 3" rc lift with lca's soon. I bought tires from Tire Barn and they came with free rotations and alignment. I would like to use the free alignment for after i do the lift cus it will save me money. However, Tire Barn is 30 miles from my house, where I am doing the lift. Would it be alright to drive my XJ 30 miles after a new lift to get an alignment or should i just shell out the cash and have it done a few mins from my house? Just need some input. Thanks

thats a tough one. I have seen them track all over the road and have dw. I wouldnt take it on the freeway. I would search doing a alignment at home. that would get you close then take it to the shop

I know I have done many lifts in the past and you can get pretty close buy measuring the front and the back of the tire and adjusting accordingly. It's not great but if you get it close I would trust it for 30 miles. Make sure if anything you have a hair more tow in than out. Tow out can pull it all over the road. Give it a try and if you can't get it pay the extra $$. Hope this helps
