Alaska in Hawaii wheelin' thread
Since Hawaii doesn't get a sub-forum and quite a few members have requested I post more pics of my wheeling trips since I live in wonderland I decided to make a wheeling thread here.
It's starting out small but it will grow to EPIC PROPORTIONS. Will start with some pics of home, to warm you all up on some mouth-wateringly awesome scenery before we move into the jeepery. Home is Alaska, but I live in Hawaii; hence the name.
I'll start you off with a taste of home in Hawaii, had my padre ship me a box of flash frozen alaskan king crab. Yum.
Next up, a taste of Hawaii in Alaska. She isn't making snow angels, she is the snow angel.
My dad feeding a WILD fox, a true wilderness man.
And now it's coming, WHEEEEEEELING!
My roommate has a TJ with 33x12.5 TSL Super Swampers and got stuck trying to blast through this really thick cruddy mud and then told me there's no way I could do it because his jeep was better. I crawled through it with my 33x10.5 MT/R's and my inferior jeep. The rest of the day he insisted his jeep was better but also wanted me to test all the mud pits first.
This picture was taken from the top of my buddies pick-up, he left his windows rolled down when he took it and I filled his cab with mud.
Then we got to the end of the trail!
...and had a BBQ! That is me with the mud heart. The guy in the black tank with the upper arm tat is my roomie who has the awesome TJ.
Unfortunately someone thinks that it's my turn to do the dishes so I've got to load the d-washer but soon there will be more pictures of scenery, wheeling, and angels in the snow.

Was wondering if that's what your name meant. I'm at Schofield right now visiting family. Is there anywhere else to wheel here besides Ka'ena?

A really really good set of trails are on the back of three peaks on the way out to waimanalo and then there's peacock flats, arguable the best wheeling on the island year round. They also just opened up a 4x4 park on sand island but you have to pay to use it and as far as I know it's only open certain days...
There's a LOT more good wheeling spots but you have know someone to open gates and let you in.
